About the role

  • Conseiller clinique en toxicomanie at The Salvation Army providing support for residents in need. Ensuring service quality and individual follow-ups for residents' reintegration.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the quality of service is adequate and complies with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Welcome and integrate the resident into the service
  • Provide individual follow-up for residents and keep their files up to date
  • Conduct structured, regular individual interventions with residents
  • Take necessary measures to ensure residents' proper progress
  • Intervene as needed in response to incidents that may occur in the center
  • Prepare observation reports and evaluations required by certification standards
  • Organize and lead workshops and/or activities
  • Collaborate with external resources and involve the resident's support network when possible
  • Actively participate in team meetings and shift handovers

Requirements

  • Certificate in Addiction Studies or Addiction Counselling
  • College diploma (DEC) in Nursing, Special Education, Social Work techniques, or Delinquency Intervention techniques
  • University degree in Criminology, Psychoeducation, Psychology, Social Work, Sexology, or Nursing
  • Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written) is an asset
  • Experience in intervention and crisis management is an asset
  • Workplace first-aid certificate is an asset
  • Valid driver's license is an asset
