About the role

  • Inpatient Financial Counseling Specialist at Ensemble performing benefit education and validating patient liabilities. Collaborating directly with patients for accurate collection and verification of financial responsibilities while ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs benefit education and validation for inpatient benefits, authorization, and collecting patient liabilities
  • Handles the accurate verification and calculation of patient liabilities including previous balances and collection of patient payments
  • Works face to face with patients for estimated liability collection
  • Completes pre-registration and registration tasks while attempting to collect the patient’s financial liability
  • Monitors missed collection opportunities for potential process improvements
  • Makes follow-up phone calls and sends letters to post-discharge patients detailing estimated liabilities

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
