AI Engineer at Safran.AI focusing on deep learning for anomaly detection in industrial data. Collaborating on advanced algorithms in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
The AI department at Safran.AI builds AI detectors: algorithms containing deep learning models whose outputs allow detection of observables or signals of interest within complex input data.
You will join the AI Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) team working on the development of anomaly detection algorithms for industrial parts.
Within your team, you will contribute to one or more projects aimed at developing or improving a specific algorithm on varied industrial data (ultrasound, X‑ray, tomography, visible optical imaging, etc.).
To produce detectors, the team relies on an internal tool stack that industrializes the work of Deep Learning Scientists.
You will use our internal AI framework and contribute to its improvement.
Requirements
You have a background in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or a similar field.
A PhD in AI or Computer Vision is a plus.
You have at least 6 years of professional experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning.
You have a strong understanding of deep learning techniques and have applied them to image data.
Specialized skills in any of the following are a plus: signal processing, computer vision, image processing, image acquisition systems, and camera calibration.
You have strong Python programming skills, particularly for production deployment.
Methodologically, you have experience working in agile environments without being dogmatic about their application.
You are rigorous, creative, and meticulous.
You have strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to take a step back when evaluating results.
You have good teamwork abilities and strong communication skills.
You are pragmatic and results-oriented.
