About the role
- Senior DevOps Engineer re-envisioning enterprise level applications at Ryan. Designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure for optimal service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and manage infrastructure configuration to achieve a continuous deployable system
- Support and assist development teams as needed
- Lead and guide the team in identifying new technologies
- Cross-train other members of the DevOps group
- Act as a technical reference for staff on existing and upcoming technologies
- Proactively provide updates to CI/CD pipelines and tooling
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
- Build and maintain production systems ensuring high availability and scalability
- Oversee routine maintenance procedures and perform diagnostic tests
- Submit recommendations for upgrades and enhancements
- Contribute to efficiency improvements through process automation
- Document and maintain system design and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience
- Six or more years of practical applications development experience in a DevOps or System Engineer capacity
- Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, Azure DevOps, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with automation (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
- Valid driver’s license required
