About the role

  • DevOps Engineer evolving banking infrastructure for a fintech company. Focusing on observability, incident response, and platform automation in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve the observability strategy (metrics, logs and distributed traces)
  • Work with stacks such as Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus/Loki, New Relic, Elastic, SigNoz or similar
  • Implement and advance instrumentation with OpenTelemetry
  • Create dashboards that are meaningful for the business and for troubleshooting
  • Refine existing alerts (reduce noise, improve accuracy, define SLOs and error budgets)
  • Help teams understand latency per endpoint, service failures and real bottlenecks
  • Support teams in evolving distributed architecture
  • Improve telemetry pipelines
  • Automate operational routines
  • Ensure resilience and high availability
  • Lead or actively participate in incident response
  • Create and maintain runbooks
  • Conduct structured postmortems
  • Contribute to SRE maturity and overall reliability

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with at least one relevant observability stack (Datadog, Grafana stack, New Relic, Elastic, SigNoz, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of the three pillars: metrics, logs and distributed traces
  • Experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
  • Practical experience participating in incident response
  • Experience refining alerts and building useful dashboards
  • Good communication with development teams
  • Genuine ownership — does not wait for issues to become crises
