Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Reliability and Safety Department, ensuring alignment with business unit goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement reliability and safety strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee the analysis and assessment of product reliability and safety, including failure modes, effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and reliability block diagrams (RBD).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and customer support, to address reliability and safety issues and drive improvements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of reliability and safety metrics, trends, and performance to senior management.
- Manage department budget, resources, and staffing to meet project and business objectives.
- Represent the department in internal and external audits, reviews, and customer meetings.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to reliability and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in reliability and safety engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of reliability and safety engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in Interiors and Advanced structures, is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reliability and safety analysis software and tools.
