Engineering Learning Strategy and Curriculum Development Lead at RTX, focusing on enhancing technical skills and professional growth for engineering teams through comprehensive learning programs.
Responsibilities
Lead the assessment of engineering-wide learning needs and skill gaps, and design a cohesive, data-driven learning strategy that aligns with organizational goals and future technical advancements.
Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of technical training programs, including defining learning objectives, designing course content (e.g., e-learning modules, hands-on labs, videos, instructor-led sessions), and creating assessments to measure efficacy.
Partner closely with engineering stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy, gather feedback, and drive alignment on learning initiatives across the organization.
20% Domestic Travel as needed

Requirements
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or technical curriculum development, preferably within an engineering or technology environment.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Certifications such as Program Management, or relevant L&D certifications (e.g., CPTD).
Deep understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect learning strategy to organizational outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience as a practicing engineer or in a technical role prior to transitioning into L&D.
