About the role

  • Internship in 3D bone analysis and simulation at Stryker, focusing on orthopedic device development. Collaborate on data analysis and engage in product optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the Stryker Orthopaedic Modeling and Analytics (SOMA) database of bone data and 3D models to optimize our products
  • Perform statistical analyses based on 3D bone models, interpret the results and communicate them to colleagues
  • Work closely with international colleagues across multiple departments
  • Document the process steps and findings and report regularly

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an engineering degree program (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Medical Informatics), preferably at master’s level
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy and, ideally, experience in medical imaging and segmentation of DICOM data
  • Experience working with mesh (polygon) 3D models
  • Enjoy learning new software applications
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Confident user of MS Office applications
  • Excellent English skills and ideally good knowledge of German or French
  • Independent, highly motivated and ready to take on responsibility quickly
