Director Industrial Engineering overseeing teams for innovative production processes at Sunfire. Responsible for managing budgets, resources, and product development from conception to production.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering department with 25–30 employees
Full responsibility for all operational deliverables, including budget and resource management
Accountable for manufacturing perspectives in the product development process for Sunfire technologies
Develop and industrialize innovative manufacturing processes for high-temperature and pressurized alkaline electrolysis
Manage operational ramp-up of new products and make strategic decisions
Requirements
Degree (Diploma, Master’s) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
Extensive experience in leadership and project management, particularly in process optimization and digitalization
Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, quality methods, data analysis and budget control
Confident in preparing specifications, conducting design approvals, machine acceptance tests and capability verifications
Proven experience planning and supporting the commissioning of production equipment
5–10 years of professional and leadership experience in mass production or small-series manufacturing
Strong communication skills, assertiveness, strategic and analytical thinking, and a hands-on mentality
Fluent German and business-fluent English (minimum C1 level)
