About the role

  • Medical Director in Immunology focusing on advancing the Immunology portfolio and supporting clinical strategies. Leading clinical teams and representing Immunology Early Development at conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Use your immunology and clinical expertise to advance the Immunology portfolio
  • Build and implement clinical development strategy for assets
  • Develop and communicate clinical strategic options considering speed, technical, regulatory, business and operational needs
  • Provide clinical and development expertise for projects in discovery
  • Lead clinical teams ensuring high performing teams capable of progressing projects
  • Build and support partnering strategies and contribute to evaluation of external partnering opportunities
  • Represent the Immunology Early Development group internally and externally at conferences

Requirements

  • MD required with Board Certification in gastroenterology
  • Clinical or research experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease is preferred
  • Significant experience in clinical development, obtained in academia, large pharma or biotech
  • Experience in early clinical development of new molecular entities preferred
  • Established scientific expertise in gastrointestinal research through a PhD or demonstrable track record of scientific and/or clinical research
  • Evidence of leadership expertise, either in a matrix or line management context
