About the role

  • Graduate Fire Engineer assisting in fire safety strategies and technical advice for building projects. Collaborating across teams to ensure safety regulations and codes are incorporated in designs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing fire safety strategies and reports for new and existing buildings in accordance with UK regulations and international codes.
  • Conduct fire engineering calculations, including means of escape, smoke control, and structural fire protection.
  • Support the use of computational tools such as CFD and evacuation modelling software.
  • Contribute to fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
  • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external clients, architects, and building control bodies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards.
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and graduate development programs.

Requirements

  • A degree (or pending) in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related STEM discipline
  • Recognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors. Recognised as a team player with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
