About the role
- Graduate Fire Engineer assisting in fire safety strategies and technical advice for building projects. Collaborating across teams to ensure safety regulations and codes are incorporated in designs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing fire safety strategies and reports for new and existing buildings in accordance with UK regulations and international codes.
- Conduct fire engineering calculations, including means of escape, smoke control, and structural fire protection.
- Support the use of computational tools such as CFD and evacuation modelling software.
- Contribute to fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
- Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external clients, architects, and building control bodies.
- Keep up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards.
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and graduate development programs.
Requirements
- A degree (or pending) in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related STEM discipline
