About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst role providing support for M&A strategy in a family-owned food company. Involves financial modeling and executive communication to drive company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide key support in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisitions, divestiture, and joint venture activities.
  • Build financial valuation models using discounted cash flow, precedent transactions, trading comparables, and LBO methodologies.
  • Perform key valuation metrics, including financial forecast, synergies, investment return metrics, and accretion/dilution analysis.
  • Develop executive-level presentation materials to communicate the financial business case and educate Rich’s Senior Executives & Board Members regarding ongoing M&A opportunities and performance.
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts and preliminary integration planning on potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Support in leading internal functional diligence teams comprised of operational, HR, legal, and other subject matter experts.
  • Support the company’s strategic planning efforts to identify growth priorities and develop acquisition pipeline.
  • Critically thinking to evaluate strategic rationale for a potential acquisition, strategic fit, and how the target may create synergies with Rich’s existing capabilities.
  • Perform analysis of competitor benchmarks and industry trends.
  • Providing support for special projects (e.g., new industry research, strategic financial analysis, network optimization, new business initiatives, among others).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting role
  • MBA, CPA, or progression towards CPA is preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience building presentations in Power Point
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of finance and accounting (GAAP) principles
  • Strong organization, project management, and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership
  • Familiarity with SAP and PowerBI is a plus
