About the role

  • Prüfungsassistent supporting annual financial statement audits at a renowned auditing firm. Engaging in analysis, compliance, and financial reporting with client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Support in auditing annual financial statements under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Analyze and assess business processes and internal control systems
  • Provide audit-related advisory services
  • Assist in special audits and due diligence projects
  • Prepare audit reports and documentation

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field with a focus on financial reporting/auditing, or equivalent qualification
  • Some practical experience in external audit or a related area is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and, where applicable, IFRS
  • Analytical thinking and a results-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Proficient user of MS Office, especially Excel
