About the role

  • Providing administrative and operational support to underwriters in a fast-growing insurance company. Contributing to team efficiency while managing underwriting documents and inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare standard insurance documents using templates and underwriter guidelines.
  • Enter and update data in Guidewire and other systems.
  • Organize and maintain digital underwriting files.
  • Respond to routine broker inquiries and escalate more complex cases.
  • Assist in gathering underwriting information for submissions.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring documentation accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bilingualism (English/French) to support underwriters and brokers across Canada, spoken and written, is an asset
  • Flexibility to work Pacific Time hours
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
