About the role

  • Information Technology Project Manager managing medium to large scale projects at Regions. Collaborating with teams across the organization to ensure timely and effective project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage projects of medium to large scale that are significant in scope
  • Ensure projects remain on time/within budget, certifying project goals and success markers are met
  • Collaborate with project teams, functional owners, and project sponsors to achieve specific business outcomes
  • Define, develop, and manage overall project plans
  • Manage risk throughout the project lifecycle and deliver risk mitigation plans
  • Guide teams through project structuring, problem definition, issue identification, and resolution development
  • Draft project ready project deliverables with minimal review
  • Apply project management tools to successfully manage projects
  • Maintain ownership of timelines and deliverables during all phases of a project
  • Identify, engage, and partner with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes
  • Manage technology projects related to network upgrades, hardware installations, software and app development, data management and large scale system replacements
  • Provide project and departmental status reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • Four (4) years of project management experience
  • Banking or financial services experience (preferred)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Ability to create and deliver influential large-scale project communications
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Relevant work experience in technology with a broad understanding across multiple IT disciplines
  • Familiarity with the Kanban approach, utilizing Jira and Confluence toolsets
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
