About the role
- Project Engineer overseeing facility upgrades and new builds at Reckitt. Ensuring timely delivery and operational readiness while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans for facility upgrades, expansions, and new builds
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements
- Lead the development of a Facility Readiness plan to Support startup activities including commissioning and integration into SOP, PM, and QMS frameworks
- Develop facilities turnover plan for the Wilson facility operations team, coordinating CQ system completion and closeout
- Lead the development of a Reliability plan for project Asset installation and turnover, including maintenance plans, spare parts philosophy, calibration plans, asset registry plan and data entry into site CMMS
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, facility operations, and maintenance including shutdown coordination and system turnover readiness
- Responsible to collaborate with and include the Vertical Start Up (VSU) leader actions and deliverables defined during design and construction to ensure successful turnover
- Ensure all projects adhere to relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations
- Identify opportunities to enhance facility performance, energy efficiency, and operational workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- 3–7 years of experience in project engineering, facilities management, or industrial operations
- Proven track record in delivering capital projects from concept to operational handover
- Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, and commissioning processes
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification
