About the role
- Platform Engineer designing and implementing scalable Azure cloud platforms for Reaktor's Industrial Business Unit. Collaborating with product teams and driving infrastructure automation and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud environments using the latest best practices and technologies to help product teams deliver the best possible solutions.
- Making sure security and compliance are built into everything you create.
- Enabling scalable and resilient infrastructure that can grow with demand and keep the digital services running reliably.
- Driving cost-efficiency by seeking our opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising performance or reliability.
- Automating as many routine tasks as possible to free up engineers' time to focus on higher-value work.
- Promoting standardization through common tools, processes and configurations to reduce complexity, improve maintainability, and accelerate development cycles.
- Acting as a trusted advisor by working closely with product teams and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and provide the infrastructure support they need.
- Supporting Reaktor’s Industrial Business Unit with sales and proposal work as an infrastructure expert.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in cloud/ infra/ DevOps roles. We don’t have a hard limit with years of experience, but we’ve noticed that these competencies often take 7+ years to accumulate.
- Deep expertise in Azure, including production experience with multi-account setups, networking, security, IAM, monitoring.
- Experience with at least one IaC tool (e.g. Terraform, Azure Bicep/ARM)
- Solid scripting / programming skills for automation (e.g. Python and/or Go; Bash/PowerShell)
- Strong CI/CD experience (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar)
- Practical experience with observability (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK/Opensearch, App Insights)
- Strong understanding of application architectures and the ability to read and reason about code to debug platform issues
- Experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments following industry standards and compliance
- Customer oriented mindset, with experience in partnering closely with clients/ stakeholders.
- Fluency in English
