  • Senior Analyst assessing financial system performance and conducting research for the RBNZ. Collaborating on publications and supporting policy decision-making in New Zealand's financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • conduct in-depth analysis and research across a range of areas
  • address complex questions and challenges facing New Zealand and global economies
  • leverage technical knowledge and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • contribute to external publications
  • shape policies and support decision-making
  • advance understanding of the financial system

Requirements

  • Relevant professional experience, perhaps in the fields of banking, insurance, financial markets, financial stability, accounting, macroeconomics, economics, or at other central banks
  • Strong analytical, research and communication skills
  • Understanding of financial systems, especially banking and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with data collections or policy analysis
  • The proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in our interest areas of climate, financial system effectiveness, financial inclusion or the Māori economy would be advantageous
