About the role

  • Senior Manager overseeing corporate security operations for RBC in the Caribbean region. Responsible for incident management, vendor relations, and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and Management of the 24/7 Regional Incident Command Center (RICC)
  • Point of escalation for all Physical Security Incidents and Physical Security Technology within the region
  • Responsible for the oversight, management, and performance of all physical security technology systems (Access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems) across the region
  • Share communications of security related matters with Senior Leadership
  • Establish collaborative relationships with business leaders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third party security vendors
  • Management of security vendors contracts, day to day operations and SLA’s
  • Manage RBC’s Duty of Care and Duty of Warn for all employees across Caribbean Region. Responsible for the management of security incidents (Robbery, Active Shooter, Kidnap, Hostage & Extortion, Workplace Violence, Aggressive & Abusive individuals) across the region.
  • To provide subject matter expert advice, and security and life safety guidance to management at all levels.
  • Support the design, implementation and management of a full range of security policies, programs and resources across the globe with a focus toward continuous improvement and innovation to deliver a “Best in Class” global security program.
  • Provide SME oversight of contracted security resources in order to provide the most cost effective and world class program.
  • Contributes to security related communications, promotes security awareness, designs and maintains communication channels to facilitate the distribution of time sensitive security information.
  • 24/7 on-call support
  • Supports relationships with outside providers who support safety and emergency response.

Requirements

  • Progressive career in corporate security and strong experience managing Duty of Care, Duty to Warn scenarios, incident management and physical security technology
  • Delivering security related management training
  • Good analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, with good judgment and discretion in order to provide immediate direction in emergency situations
  • Ability to work within a flexible working environment that involves a staggered shift structure to support operational hours and 24/7 on-call support
  • Previous Leadership experience, leading large teams with complex work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Nice-to-have: Post Secondary education from a recognized college or university. ASIS CPP “Certified Protection Professional” Certification ASIS PSP “Physical Security Professional” Certification
