About the role
- Bilingual Commercial Credit Advisor supporting Relationship Managers in credit renewals and mitigating risks. Working in agriculture financing with a focus on client-centric transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support Relationship Managers (RM) in credit renewal and adjudication of files <$2 MM Total Single Name Exposure
- Adjudicate transaction requests and approve policy exceptions within Delegated Lending Authorities
- Deliver on superior client service by structuring transactions with a client centric approach
- Create strong partnerships with CAM, Group Risk Management and Business Service Centre
- Develop and utilize specialized knowledge of industry/segment(s) to support credit needs of RM and clients
- Assist RMs with monthly credit renewals
- Identify risk issues and take proactive action
- Develop strong working relationships with RMs to optimize processing time
Requirements
- Previous Commercial Banking, Small Business lending or credit experience
- Experience in the Agriculture industry
- Knowledge of commercial financial services credit tools, including Newton & Synergie
- Strong Business Acumen
- Solid company financial statement analysis skills
- Degree in a Finance, Commerce, Management or an accounting related field
- Bilingualism (English and French) required
