Assistant Financial Controller supporting hotel financial activities, including reporting and budgeting, at Radisson Hotel Group. Requires finance qualifications and experience in hotel finance management.
Responsibilities
Supports the General Manager with monthly closing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities for the hotel, ensuring the production of complete, accurate and timely information, including non-financial data.
Supports the review of monthly operating results; prepares and distributes consolidated hotel results to hotel management and owners, assists with their interpretation and helps develop appropriate ongoing actions and business responses.
Assists the General Manager with the implementation of and compliance with RHG’s policies and procedures, RHG reporting and RHG-endorsed systems, ensuring the integrity and accurate presentation of financial results and operational KPIs.
Ensures that finance-related processes are appropriately documented.
Ensures contractual obligations to both the Operator and Owners are adhered to, identifies deviations and escalates issues to the Area Support Office.
Coordinates and supports the activities of the General Manager and Department Heads through regular, effective communication and meetings as required.
Coordinates and supports, where applicable, the activities of external (accounting) service providers and the retained finance organization.
Supports the Regional Financial Controller in managing hotel risks through internal audit and insurance compliance.
Ensures that operations comply with management and lease contracts, and that deviations or changes are properly reported.
Prepares and updates monthly CAP utilization (actual & forecast) and intercompany transactions (forecast only) for the assigned hotel.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Requirements
Professional qualification in Finance/Economics and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a finance department, as a Hotel Financial Controller or similar, with prior responsibility for at least two business units.
Independent working style and strong self-motivation.
Quality-oriented (accurate, timely) analytical problem-solver who anticipates potential implications and issues.
Organized and systematic with strong attention to detail.
Controlling skills and knowledge of controlling and reporting tools and systems.
Positive “Yes I Can!” attitude and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (fluent and concise).
