About the role

  • Reliability Engineer focusing on risk minimization and maintenance strategies in an innovative PEM electrolyzer company. Collaborating cross-functionally to enhance equipment and systems performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reliability analyses for plant equipment and define measures to minimize risks.
  • Develop Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies and maintenance concepts for equipment across the entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment and plant performance.
  • Provide technical input for maintenance documentation and ensure professional exchange with service and operations personnel.
  • Determine MTBF, MTTR and equipment availability as a basis for warranty values and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Establish service-optimized design principles in product development.
  • Support the Service Engineering team in creating maintenance plans.
  • Assess spare parts criticality and define optimal spare parts strategies together with Service.
  • Conduct availability analyses of equipment and derive required measures to improve equipment and plant availability.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable discipline.
  • Proven experience in Reliability Engineering, developing maintenance strategies and lifecycle management.
  • Extensive experience with large process plants or industrial production facilities, combined with an understanding of mechanical, electrical and control system components.
  • Ability to calculate MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve component and system reliability.
  • Experience in green hydrogen or related technologies (fuel cells, Power-to-X, renewable energies, energy storage).
  • Know-how in product development, predictive maintenance and data-driven reliability analysis.
  • Structured and analytical working style combined with a high degree of personal responsibility.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
