- Participate in immersive site visits, and gain hands-on substation safety and equipment training.
- Receive guided preparation for the FE exam to build a strong technical foundation from day one.
- Play a crucial role in the design and development of utility substation Protection & Control engineering design packages.
- Coordinate with Substation Design Engineers, Relay Settings Engineers, and other groups to ensure design concurrence.
- Development of complete engineering design packages including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and more.
- Work on project teams supporting all quality and project management goals.
- Maintain up-to-date technical skills related to the design of electrical substations and protection and control schematics.
- Develop drawings and assist in the preparation of design packages using CAD/drafting skills.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a focus on power systems
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Microsoft Office product application
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Educational experience directly related to working with medium to high voltage electricity (preferred)
- Must have the ability to work independently, and accurately, and have high attention to detail
- Strong computer skills.
