About the role

  • Develop and maintain the overall programme plan, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives.
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple related projects, managing interdependencies and resolving conflicts or overlaps between projects.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and manage expectations, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all levels of the organisation.
  • Allocate and manage resources across projects, working with functional leads and support teams to ensure optimal utilisation.
  • Monitor and control programme budgets, tracking expenditure and forecasting financial needs.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the programme, supporting project teams with effective risk strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Project Support Manager to track progress and performance, reporting on milestones, deliverables, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Change & Excellence Managers and Change Leaders, promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business-led change and process transformation, ideally within large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes.
  • Exposure to Insurance, Reinsurance, or broader Financial Services, with an understanding of the complexities these sectors bring.
  • Global programme experience, with the ability to operate in complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and risks, adapting plans as needed to stay on track.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and the ability to apply them appropriately.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Experience in resource planning and team development, ensuring the right skills are in place to meet programme needs.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a passion for driving change and continuous improvement.
