About the role

  • PMO Consultant enabling PwC Australia to adopt AI and tech-enabled processes, enhancing collaboration and governance across projects. Leading initiatives from planning to execution with strong program governance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the PMO Lead to drive strategic initiatives from planning through execution, acting as a trusted problem‑solver and supporting stakeholder mobilisation.
  • Provide structured coordination across workstreams to bridge strategy and delivery, offering surge capacity on priority programs when required.
  • Maintain strong program governance, including integrated project plans, milestone tracking, RAID management, and accurate program reporting.
  • Apply structured problem‑solving and evidence‑based insights to support business performance and produce high‑quality leadership materials for informed decision‑making.
  • Configure and manage delivery tools such as Jira and Microsoft Planner to enable consistent reporting, collaboration, and standardised ways of working.
  • Champion continuous improvement by promoting best practice use of PMO tools, assessing emerging technologies (including AI), and documenting insights to improve visibility and decision‑making.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in PMO functions, multi-project governance, or management consulting across complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep expertise in PM fundamentals and artifacts (integrated plans, RAID/RAAIDD, baselines, financials, benefits, SteerCo packs) and in designing and running PMO operating models.
  • Strong data fluency: build automated, executive-ready reports and dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets and Power BI/Tableau; adept at forecasting, variance analysis, and benefits tracking.
  • Proficient with MS Project, Planner, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint/OneDrive, PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and collaboration suites (Teams); proven ability to standardize tooling and drive adoption.
