About the role

  • Client Director responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives and a small team at Pure Storage. Fostering executive-level relationships to close complex, high-value opportunities in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall business strategy for the global accounts under your purview, aligning it with Pure Storage's broader organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performance sales culture that represents Pure and delivers results in bookings, sales development, and forecast accuracy while simultaneously mentoring and developing your team.
  • Drive operational excellence through data-driven analysis and deep dives into regular territory pipeline and forecasting activities to refine strategies and close deals effectively.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure that the sales strategy aligns with product development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and change management to the extended Pure Storage team aligned with your accounts, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Hold both the team and yourself accountable to achieve challenging goals while maintaining a forward-thinking approach that anticipates future market trends.
  • Communicate with leaders at all levels, including C-suite, to establish open and trusting relationships that facilitate the alignment of business objectives and strategies.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the long-term success of global accounts.
  • Oversee the financial performance of your accounts, including budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with Pure Storage's financial goals.
  • Act as the primary advocate for your clients within Pure Storage, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the highest level of service.

Requirements

  • Proven leader of direct and globally matrixed teams; demonstrating 5+ successful years of global field sales management.
  • Advanced skill set and experience working and selling into the financial services industry.
  • Experience running large revenue streams of [$100M+], with a proven track record of closing large, single deals with Global Enterprise customers.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Pure’s portfolio with the ability to take a holistic approach to create business solutions for customers.
  • Ability to create a business case justifying a desired investment with the results and revenue it will drive, utilizing both data and an elevated level of business acumen.
  • Credibility, savvy, and influence to both understand and scale up and down a customer's organization.
  • The ability to adeptly navigate around a global account and quickly understand the internal dynamics.
  • Proven success at effectively alternating between player and coach to drive results.
