About the role

  • Major Projects Infrastructure Project Manager responsible for managing critical energy supply projects for Puget Sound Energy. Leading project development and execution with a hybrid work schedule in Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Leads project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management of large corporate projects.
  • Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
  • Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource changes.
  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.
  • Manages project budget and evaluates cost and schedule impacts of project plan changes.
  • Ensures quality and consistency of project management.
  • Supports emergency response work as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight years of experience managing complex major projects and project budgets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of team management and communication techniques.
  • Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports.
  • Advanced project management skills and training.
  • Knowledge of utility operations, standards, and construction practices.
  • Knowledge of estimating, materials, scheduling and project accounting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in project development.
