About the role

• Engineering Specialist solving technical problems and preparing engineering plans for PSE's energy efficiency programs. Supporting emergency response and ensuring safety compliance standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

• Prepares solutions to a wide range of technical problems through the application of standard engineering practices and principles.
• Prepares engineering plans, designs, specifications, standards, cost estimates, evaluations, or studies.
• Duties may include data and records management, research, managing engineering projects, and working directly with customers.
• Supports emergency response operations when needed.
• Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.
• Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
• Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent technical certificate in design or pre-engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Level of knowledge of subject matter within assigned area of focus is sufficient for completing most project work independently.
• Basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Organization, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with PC and design software, and other database applications.
