Logistics Coordinator managing transactional work at ProTrans and collaborating with transportation providers and support teams to improve customer experience.
Responsibilities
The Logistics Coordinator handles transactional work on the accounts and will work closely with transportation providers (Carriers) and internal support teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
Communicate with LTL carriers to confirm pickups and deliveries exceptions and perform check calls in ProTrans’ TMS System.
Facilitate successful border crossing operation in conjunction with Border Crossing team and notify Customers about any deviation on customs process at the border.
Responsible for arranging the expedite shipment needs of the Customer and effectively communicating with ProTrans’ Expedite team.
Assist Customers plants with daily operational issue resolution.
Responsible for escalating service level issues to Operations Manager.
Ensure reporting is distributed as necessary (daily, weekly, monthly) and work with ProTrans’ Account Receivable team to secure billing process on a timely manner.
Requirements
+1 year of industry experience within logistics and supply chain and/or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation or business-related field.
Automotive logistics experience preferred but not required.
Willing to travel both nationally and internationally to customer locations within the ProTrans International network.
Experience using web-based business intelligence tools and Microsoft Office.
Solid verbal and written communication skills in English (bi-lingual abilities in Spanish is preferred).
Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English and Spanish.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively in English and Spanish before a group of customers or employees of organization.
