About the role

• Senior Laravel Developer designing, developing, and maintaining web applications at international business consulting firm in Glyfada. Leading implementation and optimizations while mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications using Laravel and Livewire.
• Lead the implementation of new features and modules, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize existing codebase for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Work extensively with server-side technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Supervisor, to manage application deployments and services.
• Implement and manage WebSocket servers for real-time functionalities.
• Develop and optimize background job processing mechanisms using Laravel Queues and related technologies.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Laravel, Livewire, and DevOps ecosystems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in web application development.
• Proven expertise as a Senior Laravel Developer with a strong portfolio of built applications.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Livewire for building dynamic user interfaces.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and eloquent ORM.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Extensive experience with server-side technologies and DevOps practices: Docker, Kubernetes, Supervisor, WebSockets, Background Jobs/Queues.
• Familiarity with Nginx/Apache, Linux server administration.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating with third-party services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
