Process Safety Engineer integrating engineering team to mitigate process safety risks in offshore projects. Collaborating with global teams to ensure technical excellence and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
Act in process safety engineering across the different project phases (Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Engineering)
Lead and/or participate in risk studies, such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, Bow-Tie and QRA
Develop, review and approve process safety documents, including safety philosophies, risk analysis reports, risk matrices and technical recommendations
Assess risk scenarios related to production, separation, treatment, utilities and flare systems
Ensure compliance with applicable international process safety standards and codes
Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines (Process, Instrumentation, Electrical, Naval, Structural and Operations)
Act as the process safety technical focal point for clients, partners and global teams
Contribute to standardization, continuous improvement and the dissemination of process safety knowledge at a global level
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Solid experience in Process Safety applied to offshore projects
Strong knowledge of process risk analysis and risk management
Practical experience with methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL and QRA
Knowledge and application of international process safety standards and best practices
Familiarity with tools and software used for risk studies and process safety documentation
Fluent English (mandatory)
Availability for occasional offshore assignments
