About the role

  • System Engineer ensuring smooth operation of IT environments within proLogistik Group. Analyzing, developing, and supporting virtualization, cloud, and network solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • You perform technical analysis, administration and maintenance in the following areas: virtualization with Oracle, Linux and Windows Server, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, storage/backup, VPN and network planning, monitoring, and 2nd/3rd level support.
  • You implement and maintain IT systems for our customers.
  • You carry out housekeeping of our legacy systems and perform migrations (OS modernizations).
  • You create technical documentation and support your colleagues in the implementation of specifications.
  • You are responsible for handing over systems to our support team and participate in customer presentations and workshops.

Requirements

  • Completed training in the IT field (e.g., IT specialist in system integration) or a comparable qualification and professional experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field
  • Solid operating system knowledge in Linux and virtualization solutions
  • Basic knowledge in Windows, network architecture, monitoring, cloud administration, databases and simple database queries
  • Willingness for 24/7 on-call duty by agreement (max. 5 days and 1 weekend per month)
  • Certifications such as LPIC-2 or similar, with a focus on Linux, are desirable
  • Business fluent German and good English
  • On a personal level, you particularly bring strong communication skills, goal orientation and a willingness to take responsibility
