About the role

  • Energy Auditor conducting energy assessments according to DIN EN 16247 and ISO 50001 in Rheinland. Collaborating with clients to identify efficiency measures and generate audit reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits according to DIN EN 16247 and energy management system (EMS) assessments per ISO 50001 for companies in the Rheinland
  • Prepare, execute and follow up on audit projects
  • Collect and analyze energy data for machinery, production equipment, electric drives, compressed air systems, pumps, fans as well as thermal and process energy
  • Perform on-site inspections to document energy-relevant processes and equipment
  • Identify and evaluate economically viable energy efficiency measures
  • Produce standard-compliant audit reports with clearly prioritized measures
  • Coordinate with clients, internal teams and project partners
  • Desirable: Provide support to the energy consulting team as needed and develop individual renovation/upgrade plans

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field
  • Alternatively: qualification as a technician (m/f/d) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Initial experience in the analysis of technical systems, energy management, energy consulting or in an industrial environment
  • Certification or recognized qualification as an energy efficiency expert (m/f/d)
  • Knowledge of energy audits and EMS according to ISO 50001 is an advantage
  • Willingness to complete training according to DIN EN 16247 / ISO 50001 if the qualification is not yet available
  • Very good German language skills, spoken and written (at least C1 level), as audit discussions, on-site appointments and audit reports are conducted in German
  • Driver's license (Class B), as on-site appointments take place at companies in the Rheinland
  • Structured and careful working style when handling technical and energy data
