About the role

  • Data Scientist creating valuable insights from Prodege’s first-party data through analytics solutions and machine learning. Collaborating with teams to deliver business needs and improve data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Building analytical models, applying machine learning techniques, and visualizing data trends.
  • Programming, automation, data extraction, and system integration.
  • Ensuring data integrity and improving data accuracy through collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate with Data and Insights team members to build analytics tools centered on Prodege’s various data assets.
  • Lead the application of advanced descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses along with NLP and AI-based techniques.
  • Use 3rd-party and homegrown software to expand access to data, visualize data trends, and inspire the use of data-based solutions.
  • Design and create data models, algorithms, KPIs, and weighting methods utilizing open-source libraries to generate standard and projected statistics describing data trends.
  • Synthesize data assets to discover bespoke insights and communicate this information to clients.
  • Program, automate, and maintain processes using general-purpose programming languages to support key initiatives across the organization.
  • Locate and integrate outside data sources to help extract and validate valuable insights.
  • Generate data extracts for internal and external customers in accordance with Prodege’s data-sharing best practices.
  • Assist internal and 3rd party data coding teams to improve quality of the data assets.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science fields
  • Three or more (3+) years experience providing data extraction and data analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Python and open-source libraries.
  • Experience building scripts to automate data-based tasks.
  • Experience working with customers to provide data-based solutions.
  • Experience with CPG/ omni-channel retail Market Research.
  • Experience utilizing Applied Statistics on work projects.
  • Experience crafting surveys using quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience transforming and analyzing survey data.
  • Experience with visualization tools like SIGMA, Tableau or Crunch.io.
  • Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytical methods.
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing techniques and use-cases.
  • Experience with Machine Learning techniques and use-cases.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Relational DB experience.
  • Database privacy/ security knowledge and appreciation
  • Semi-structured data experience.
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to QA data in all its forms.
