About the role
- Implementation Engineer collaborating with clients to integrate renewable energy assets onboard a SaaS platform. Partnering with internal teams to ensure seamless data integration and system configuration.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and members of the Professional Services team to gather integration requirements
- Establish secure connectivity (for example via IPSEC tunnels) between sites and our platform
- Configure asset data endpoints and validate performance using our test campaigns
- Diagnose issues using protocols such as TCP/IP, SQL, FTP, HTTP and SSH
- Guide clients on implementation best practices and the core features of our product
- Participate in internal projects to improve processes, infrastructure and data quality
Requirements
- Technical degree or equivalent field experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of English is required to respond to English-speaking clients and to collaborate with teams located outside Quebec; this represents a significant portion of the role's responsibilities
- Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with Linux, Windows networking and SQL databases
- Proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash) and file formats such as JSON, XML, Excel, CSV
- Analytical mindset and ability to quickly learn technical domains
- Basic knowledge of electricity (AC/DC, types of voltage, reactive power)
- Experience with AWS or another cloud environment
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, IEC 104, REST API)
- Ability to read and understand electrical or network schematics
