Responsibilities
Develops solutions and pursues continuous improvement, aligning and directing IT strategy within the Squad / Tribe / Community.
Supports the technical detailing of requirements and defines the solution, determining how the solution will be built, estimating development effort, and transforming business and product strategies into technical solutions.
Monitors performance indicators and ensures the lifecycle of applications in production, providing support when necessary. Ensures delivery of secure, high-quality software that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
Aligns technical solutions, reducing barriers with other tribes and areas, and communicates the impacts and progress of fixes. Identifies technical risks and vulnerabilities in existing systems.
Participates in defining business rules when necessary.
Participates in planned activities for product development.
Researches and shares new technologies with the team to innovate and implement continuous improvement.
Participates in defining the roadmap and long-term vision with the team, influencing the product and building consensus on initiative decisions.
Understands the company’s business needs and develops effective solutions following defined standards, frameworks, and Information Security practices.
Evaluates effort and risks for implementing new features across the product platforms.
Upholds code quality by following industry best practices.
Assists in training and development of the Tech team.
Seeks market innovations that are applicable to our environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of programming languages and technologies: Java, Spring Framework, Angular.js, Angular 7+, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Java-Web, EJB, JPA, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Web (HTML, JavaScript), jQuery.
Knowledge of databases (SQL / Oracle) and caching (Redis).
Experience with services and microservices (CA Gateway, Sensedia, RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON) and system integration tools.
Knowledge of testing strategies: TDD, BDD, and shift-left testing.
Familiarity with DevOps culture and tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, pipeline scripts).
Experience with cloud computing (GCP or preferably AWS).
Advanced experience with source control/versioning (GitLab).
Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP).
