Responsibilities
Support the embedding and ongoing operation of the firm’s compliance and risk framework.
Assist in monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the firm’s policies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures.
Provide proactive business support by identifying, assessing, and escalating professional and regulatory risks.
Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and practice updates to ensure compliance.
Review routine legal and client-facing documents to ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and internal requirements.
Requirements
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, or equivalent relevant legal qualification.
Strong understanding of SRA regulation, professional conduct, and law firm risk management.
Experience in a practice support, compliance, risk, or knowledge role within a law firm (or relevant in-house/legal services environment).
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
Experience designing and delivering training to legal professionals.
Strong drafting, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
Pragmatic and commercially aware approach to compliance and risk.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
