About the role

  • Accounting staff managing financial bookkeeping and payment processes for Plunet GmbH, a leading business management software firm in the translation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ongoing bookkeeping (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, cash)
  • Processing payment transactions, dunning/reminder management & direct debits
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for the tax advisor
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of management/business reporting
  • Point of contact for the tax advisor and authorities
  • Management of contracts (e.g., rent, leasing, utilities)
  • Support with general office tasks (supplies, archiving, beverages, correspondence)

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training (or equivalent)
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting
  • Good knowledge of tax law
  • Confident user of accounting software (e.g., DATEV or Addison)
  • Independent, structured and meticulous working style
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
  • Good written English skills
