About the role
- Senior GL Accountant primarily focusing on General Ledger accounting for Polish market at Perrigo. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting and processing.
Responsibilities
- Execute General Ledger accounting activities for assigned entities, with a primary focus on supporting the Polish market
- Apply the accounting manual guidelines to ensure accurate cost center and profit center accounting and appropriate GL account usage
- Perform daily operational GL tasks, including: Journal entry preparation and posting, Balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliations and follow‑up
- Support the month‑end close process by preparing and posting US GAAP entries and contributing to financial close reporting in CFIN
- Contribute to the timely and accurate month‑end close for the entities supported
- Assist with statutory processes and filings related to Poland to the extent they are part of centralized processes
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Tax, and local market teams to ensure data accuracy and issue resolution
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Controlling or Accounting
- Local Accounting knowledge used in practice for Polish entities, including end to end responsibility for local statutory and tax accounting
- Additional Accounting Certification would be a plus
- Solid knowledge of Finance in general and General Ledger in particular
- At least 5 years experience in similar role within Business Shared Service Centre structures
- SAP Finance experience
- Fluent in English and Polish
