About the role

  • Supply Chain Planner managing raw material and packaging inventory for BASF's Performance Materials team in Toronto, ON. Ensuring smooth manufacturing operations and contributing to supply chain KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage raw material and packaging inventory
  • Provide master data support to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations
  • Develop and maintain raw material and packaging plans to support production schedules and sales projections
  • Communicate the site’s needs and requirements with procurement agents and suppliers via forecasting processes
  • Manage dysfunctional and slow-moving inventory, driving disposition decisions
  • Coordinate and reconcile monthly cycle counts
  • Assist the receiving/warehouse team members with inventory discrepancies
  • Provide Site Master data support including setting up new finished good materials & raw material products in both SPASS and SAP systems
  • Contribute to supply chain KPIs including inventory targets, cost saving initiatives, reduction of dysfunctional inventory
  • Provide as a Backup Finished Good Planner when they are out of office

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Related Discipline Preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems, think quickly and balance multiple priorities
  • Good understanding of SAP planning and inventory management (or willingness to learn)
