About the role
- Procurement Operations Manager ensuring smooth execution and monitoring of procurement processes at BASF. Focused on supply security and driving continuous improvement while collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central operational liaison between EC Procurement, EC supply chain, and supplier operations, proactively preventing and resolving disruptions within the EC procurement process.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of procurement-related data and documents, maintaining global master data integrity.
- Collaborate with the entire procurement organization and supply chain to align, implement, and steer highly automated, harmonized, and state-of-the-art procurement processes with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Foster proactive communication and collaboration within the team and across departments, supporting a culture of teamwork.
- Work closely with all stakeholders involved in the procurement process, including negotiators and suppliers, to ensure seamless communication and operational success.
- Take ownership of operational supply security for the region, ensuring the correctness of procurement-related master data entries and adherence to required documentation.
- Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchase-to-pay process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and at least 2 or more years related experience.
- Automotive industry experience a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement operations management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and procurement processes.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational management.
- Proficy in SAP & MS Office with experience leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
