About the role
- Engineer responsible for managing equipment performance in plasma-derived product manufacturing. Develop maintenance plans and improve operational efficiency at Grifols.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update preventive and corrective maintenance plans for production equipment and cleaning facilities.
- Determine frequencies, methods and required resources for each type of equipment, taking into account regulatory and operational requirements.
- Identify critical spare parts for each piece of equipment and ensure their availability in stock.
- Conduct reliability studies (FMEA, RCA, Pareto) to guide maintenance and investment decisions.
- Integrate recommendations from failure analyses and internal/external audits.
- Recommend technical modifications, replacements, or equipment improvements based on analysis results.
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate maintenance requirements during the design or procurement phase of new equipment.
- Participate in the development of medium- and long-term capital investment plans.
- Track the progress of action plans in the CMMS and ensure they are executed within the required timeframes.
- Participate in planning annual shutdowns and coordinate critical interventions.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, quality and health, safety & environment teams.
- Train maintenance technicians on reliability best practices and maintenance standards.
- Contribute to establishing a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical or process engineering) or a related field.
- Relevant experience (minimum 2 years) in reliability or industrial maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
- Proficiency with CMMS tools and office software (MS Office).
- Knowledge of failure and reliability analysis methodologies (FMEA, RCA).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
- Fluency in English and French is required.
