About the role

• Senior Software Engineer II designing and maintaining APIs and backend services for healthcare platform. Collaborating with teams and mentoring engineers while ensuring high-quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Golang (and some Python).
• Build scalable, secure, and performant services that handle healthcare data with strong privacy and compliance standards.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation for API endpoints.
• Integrate backend services with data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Elevate system performance and implement measurable efficiency gains.
• Take ownership of complex systems end-to-end, ensuring reliability and operational health.
• Lead or contribute to architectural discussions and long-term technical planning.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Partner with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and support customer integrations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience focused on APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong production experience in Golang; comfortable working in Python when needed.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and scalable service patterns.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and operate end-to-end systems independently.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience using AI-enhanced coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
