Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that power our banking platform and partner ecosystem
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams to develop scalable tools and services that improve operational efficiency, support regulatory compliance, and enable new financial products
- Build internal applications and integrations that automate manual workflows, connect systems across the organization, and improve data accessibility for teams across operations, compliance, risk, and partner management
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure those solutions are secure, reliable, and maintainable in a regulated banking environment
- Help establish best practices for system design, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Play a key role in modernizing our technology stack while supporting the bank’s growth as a Banking-as-a-Service platform
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar experience building software projects
- Proven experience managing data migration or data modernization projects
- Must have strong SQL skills
- Must have JavaScript skills
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, batch and streaming transformation processes, data governance frameworks (Apache Ranger, Immuta, Unity Catalog), data quality frameworks (great expectations), monitoring and observability platforms (datadog), cloud providers (AWS, GCP), data platforms and frameworks (Apache Spark, Databricks, Presto, EMR).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa
- Databricks certification
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion
- Background in data engineering or data analytics is a strong plus
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments with strict data governance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields
