Information Security Officer based in Frankfurt for a leading provider in heating and sanitation services. Focused on IT-Security strategy implementation and risk management across Germany.
Responsibilities
You will lead the expansion and further development of IT security in Germany – from defining the security strategy to embedding it within local structures
You will develop and maintain central security policies, architectures and guidelines in alignment with Group standards and ensure their implementation across the German organization
You will identify and assess security risks, vulnerabilities and threats and derive effective, pragmatic measures to improve the security posture
You will manage the implementation of security policies and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and monitor compliance as well as adherence to legal requirements such as the GDPR
You will coordinate national incident management, manage external partners (e.g. SOC/MDR, penetration testing, managed services) and be responsible for KPI/SLA controlling
You will drive the development of a strong security culture, create awareness programs and raise awareness among the executive team and employees at all locations
You will be the central point of contact for IT security matters in Germany, translate Group requirements into actionable processes and support local teams with rollout and implementation
Requirements
Experience in IT security/information security with a focus on strategy, processes and governance
Experience with common security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, BSI IT-Grundschutz) and ideally with managing external service providers
Solid understanding of network security, endpoint protection, SIEM and cloud security
Strong communication skills in German (at least C1) and English (B2) and confident when working with international stakeholders
Ability to communicate security requirements clearly and to embed them sustainably within organizations
