About the role
- Quality Assurance Engineer designing and implementing test cases for a multi-national debt collection platform. Collaborating closely with development teams to ensure software quality and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Design test cases for complex functionalities and take care of the implementation of UI automation using Selenium with Java
- Work closely with our development team and product managers to understand business requirements
- Create, document, execute, and maintain functional and end-to-end tests for large-scale, complex software systems
- Proactively engage with all stakeholders to close gaps in specifications
- Take ownership of the quality standard in your team
- Convert business requirements into test scenarios written in Gherkin language format
- Share best practices and improvements within the squad and the QA team
- Communicate challenges clearly, report and find root causes of bugs
Requirements
- 3+ years of strong QA experience covering the full testing lifecycle of web applications
- Strong Java knowledge
- Solid experience in automating web applications using Selenium, TestNG, and Maven
- Good experience in automating API tests
- Knowledge of API manual testing and basic understanding of API architecture such as REST protocols
- Understanding of microservices and monolith applications
- Experience in owning QA activities in agile (Scrum, Kanban) delivery methodologies
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent fault-finding, debugging, and diagnostic skills
- Proficient in creating functional and non-functional risk-based test plans
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience in maintaining jobs in CI/CD environment
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Docker
- Very good English written and verbal communication skills
