About the role
- Project Manager overseeing electric vehicle infrastructure installation projects for PG&E. Responsible for project management and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute projects to install electric vehicle infrastructure throughout PG&E’s territory.
- Manage distribution electrical and commercial electrical work performed by a cross functional team of internal employees and construction contractors.
- Oversee all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
- Provide single point of contact for those projects.
- Use independent judgment applying Project Management fundamentals with minimal supervision.
- Interact with senior internal and external contacts, including overseeing contractors and providing information to third parties.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience.
- 3 years’ experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction if internal PG&E employee, or 4 years if outside hire.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Electric transmission and distribution network and substation system knowledge.
- Strong project management skills; knowledge of project management concepts, methods and techniques.
- Working knowledge in PG&E contract management and process
- Experience in managing EPC contractors
- Experience coordinating material deliveries and clearances
- Experience with the Salesforce platform
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
