About the role
- Senior Programmer Analyst developing GIS integrations for energy solutions at PG&E. Collaborating with teams to enhance technology solutions that ensure reliable energy delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Be a GIS platform domain expert and solutions advisor.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the GIS Center of Excellence Production support team and DevSecOps teams.
- Establish and standardize operational processes and methods to drive efficiency.
- Champion for automating manual workflows and fostering innovation.
- Regularly apply creativity or new approaches to technical assignments that may be unique.
- May lead others on technically complex projects or work.
- Solid understanding of the impact to all application areas of systems/sub-systems modifications and enhancements; understands impact to business; has broad, over-arching understanding of impact to IT.
- Collaborates with Project Manager and business stakeholders on complex large project timelines, identifying critical path, resource assignments, risks, and dependencies.
- Resolves application development and operational production support problems of complex scope through cross-functional team participation.
- Serves as key technical resource with areas of specialization.
- Responsible for larger initiatives such as transitioning to new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in programming analysis
- Operational support experience
- Experience with programming languages - Python, C#, Java Script, PL Sql
- Expert with AWS Cloud technologies
- Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcFM products
- Experience with Scaled agile methodologies, Dev Sec Ops standards
- Experience with ITSM processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management and Asset Management
- Experience with ESRI Utility network solutions
