About the role

  • Senior Engineer developing control systems for PG&E's hydroelectric generation and water conveyance assets. Mentoring engineers and providing technical support across operations and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develops controls for routine, complex or highly complex projects, maintenance and operational support of power generating, water storage, and water conveyance assets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams, including maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Assist in the development of design standards, design builds, design reviews and new tools used in modernization.
  • Support department code compliance activities and Power Generation Standards.
  • Evaluate innovative and practical design solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering-Electrical or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related technical experience, 3 years
  • Job-related experience, 1 year
  • EIT-Engineer in Training certification (desired)
  • PE-Professional Engineer license (desired)
