Responsibilities
Drive efforts to resolve GIS model promotion issues and ensure seamless integration across systems
Build and maintain deep knowledge of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission GIS systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data for ADMS operations
Lead cross-functional coordination among GIS Mapping, IT GIS, the GIS Center of Excellence (COE), and the ADMS GOAT organization to align processes, resolve data discrepancies, and support strategic initiatives (i.e., Elevate program)
Take guidance from the Network Model Manager and ADMS Business Support Senior Manager to deliver day-to-day directions for standard network modeling tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
Partner with the ADMS Applications & Strategy organization to influence product and technology roadmaps, ensuring network model capabilities support future functionality
Work closely with the ADMS System Procedures & Practices organization to maintain all relevant documents, standards, and procedures for network modeling and ADMS operations
Maintain and enhance station models, load/generation profiles, and overall network accuracy
Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline ADMS support and maintenance
Partner with internal teams to align technology with ADMS requirements and future grid capabilities
Establish new engineering standards and guidelines in collaboration with Distribution Standards
Serve as the escalation point for ADMS-related inquiries, device commissioning, and communication infrastructure
Champion best practices for efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence
Function as a lead in onboarding new products, features, or system capabilities for inclusion within the production network model, including support, documentation, and overall business readiness
Partner with the Network Model/BAS Manager and ADMS Business Support Senior Manager to create and cast the overall vision for strategic execution of network modeling and ADMS initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with grid modeling software (e.g. CYMDIST, PSLF, Aspen, etc.)
10 years of electric utility related experience
Master of Science in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering (Desired)
Expertise in the domains of systems, SCADA and network model engineering (Desired)
Experience in process automation, system integration, field device design, and device engineering standardization (Desired)
Experience with grid modeling software with an emphasis on the Schneider Electric ADMS product (Desired)
Experience with advanced electric engineering concepts (Desired)
Experience supporting projects and initiative with medium to high corporate priority (Desired)
Experience in power system model tuning (Desired)
Experience in Transmission or Distribution System Planning (Desired)
Experience in Transmission or Distribution Operations (Desired)
Protection System Engineering experience (Desired)
Deep understanding of electric distribution and transmission GIS systems and data governance (Desired)
Experience collaborating on technology and product roadmaps with cross-functional teams (Desired)
Strong documentation and standards management skills for complex operational systems (Desired)
Proven leadership in onboarding new products, features, or system capabilities, including business readiness and support planning (Desired)
Strategic planning experience, including partnering with senior leadership to define and execute long-term vision (Desired)
Certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification) or related technologies preferred (Desired)
Project management or change management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prosci) are a plus (Desired)
Proficiency with one or multiple protocols (DNP3.0, IPV4/6, PGE2179, IEC 61850, 2030.5, OPC, ICCP) (Desired)
Strong experience in and with an ADMS OMS, preferably with the SE Exostructure (Desired).
